The Little Plate reverb plugin is a NAMM TEC Award Winner, Inspired by the original EMT 140 Plate Reverb, provides you with the lush sound of plate reverb with a modern twist.
They captured the vibe and sound of this studio’s classic reverb and turned it into a musically rich and inspired plugin, giving us the extra capability to take Little Plate Decay time from 0 to Infinity, while the original reverb could only go to 5 seconds of reverberation time.
The plugin also has a low-cut filter to tame low-frequency buildup, an optional Modulation switch for natural-sounding variations in the reverb tail and a mix-wet knob to mix dry and wet signal.
It has 25 presets to get you quickly started.
The EMT 140 uses an electrical transducer mounted to the center of the suspended plate to induce plate movement, those plates are thin pieces of metal sheets suspended from a steel frame with spring tensioners at the corners, the engineer then captures the resulting reverberation via pickup.
